Notes:    Called Wattles in Australia. Many are fast growing and short lived. Some, such as the Bull-Horn Acacia (Acacia cornigera, Mexico to Costa Rica), are myrmecophilous and live in symbiotic relationship with biting ants (some have hollow spines that the ants live in, and leaftlets have beltian bodies on leaf edges for ant food).
